Privacy Policy

chataiq is a private AI assistant operated by AI-IQ ("chataiq", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using chataiq (chataiq.jicama.tech) you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account data — your name and email address, from Google sign-in or email registration.
Content you create — notes (typed, voice, or photo), chats with the assistant, Spaces and their records, and chatbots/knowledge bases you build.
Connected-service data — when you connect Google, content we access under the scopes you grant (see §4): recent Gmail messages, upcoming Calendar events, and files our app creates in your Google Drive.
Configuration — your chosen AI provider/model and (if you provide one) your API key, stored to operate the service. We never display saved keys back to the browser.
Technical data — basic logs and cookies needed to keep you signed in and run the service.

2. How we use your information

To provide the assistant: ground answers on your notes, emails, calendar and documents; transcribe voice; extract structured records; and build the dashboards and chatbots you request.
To send features you enable, such as daily briefs (in-app, Telegram or WhatsApp).
To maintain, secure and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

3. AI processing & bring-your-own model

chataiq sends the prompts and the relevant context needed to answer your request to the AI provider you configure (for example an OpenAI-compatible API, or a local model). If you run a local model (e.g. Ollama), your content is processed on your own machine and is not sent to a third-party model. Your chosen provider processes that data under its own terms; review them before connecting a key.

4. Google user data

If you connect Google, we request only the scopes needed for the features you use:

openid, email, profile — to sign you in.
gmail.readonly — to read recent inbox context for answers and briefs (read-only; we never send email).
calendar.readonly — to read upcoming events for answers and briefs.
drive.file — to create and manage only the note files chataiq creates in your Drive. We cannot see your other Drive files.

Limited Use disclosure. chataiq's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features, do not transfer it except as needed to provide those features (or with your consent, or for security/legal reasons), do not use it for advertising, and do not let humans read it except with your consent, for security, to comply with law, or where the data is aggregated/anonymized.

You can disconnect Google at any time in the app (Connectors), and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Suite integrations

chataiq is part of the AI-IQ suite. With your action, it can sync notes to and answer from docaiq, import expenses from xpenseaiq, or embed sibling apps. A shared single-sign-on cookie (jicama_sso) scoped to jicama.tech may be set so you stay signed in across suite apps; it contains your email and name only.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (a session cookie and, if enabled, the suite SSO cookie). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Storage, retention & deletion

Your content is stored to operate the service; notes you back up to Google Drive also remain in your own Drive. You can delete individual notes, records and bots at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, notes, chats, bots, leads and connector tokens from our systems. Email hello@jicama.tech for data requests.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS in transit, hashed passwords, signed session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Children

chataiq is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
